Taylor Structural Engineers, Inc. was established in February 1996 by Dirk Taylor, P.E. with the goal of providing high-quality structural engineering services to architects, contractors, and owners working in the commercial, institutional, and light industrial building sectors. TSE maintains a professional staff with expertise in virtually all types of building construction including steel (conventional, composite, and light-gage), concrete (cast-in-place, precast, and post-tensioned), reinforced masonry, wood (dimensional lumber, heavy timber, and engineered wood products), deep foundations (drilled piers, auger-cast piles, driven piles, pin piles, and soil improvement), and the restoration of deteriorated and historic structures. This experience allows us to offer creative solutions to complex structural challenges.
TSE has Professional Engineers licensed to practice structural engineering in sixteen states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Michigan, Connecticut, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Maine. While most of our projects are located within 300 miles of Pittsburgh, we maintain the flexibility to serve our clients throughout a much larger region of the country, including the ability to obtain licensure as needed in additional states.
